About Me
I'm a System Support Engineer with hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, network configuration, and cloud technologies. My background spans from first-line support at global companies like FedEx and Prosus to specialized network engineering at Reset National. I've also shared my knowledge as an Assistant Teacher at ROC van Amsterdam, teaching MBO Level 4 students about networks, servers, and cybersecurity.
A Little About Me My name is Casper, and I’m a System Security Engineer from the Netherlands. My journey with tech started early; as a kid, I fell in love with Pokémon, especially Pokémon Platinum. That passion grew even bigger when I discovered DeSmuME (a DS emulator). Finding out how emulators worked was a "lightbulb moment" for me, and by 13, I was officially obsessed with computers. In high school, I got my first real hands-on experience in IT during an internship in 2015. I spent my days building and refurbishing PCs, often working with Intel Pentium G3258 dual-core chips and 4GB of DDR3 RAM—which felt like a huge deal at the time! I loved the process of setting up those machines with the brand-new Windows 10, wiping old files, and seeing the smile on people's faces when their "slow" computer felt like new again. That feeling of helping others through technology is what started my passion for this field. Life Today I’m now 25 years old. I’m still living in the Netherlands and loving life! When I’m not working on security engineering, you’ll find me: Staying Active: At the gym, running, or cycling through nature. Music: I have a massive love for Drum and Bass (shout out to Hedex and GUV). Gaming: I still love Pokémon, though these days I mostly stick to Nuzlockes for the challenge. The Vision My big dream is to create automation software and new tech to help hospitals all around the world. Beyond the code, I want to share a simple message: we’re all in this together, and we should care for and love each other more. On this website, I’ll be posting a mix of things—some educational, some personal, and some useful tools I’ve built that you can use

Career
Reset National B.V
Reset National provides facility and security management for various clients at secured locations. In my role, I support this process by configuring network equipment using MikroTik and managing systems remotely via PuTTY. I troubleshoot hardware issues, perform maintenance and refurbishing on IoT devices, and ensure that systems are quickly restored to full functionality. By combining on-site and technical support, I contribute to the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of Reset's services for their clients.

Provided hands-on, on-site IT support to employees and played an active role in the company-wide migration from Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace. Supported users with all Google Workspace tools including Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Gmail. Handled technical infrastructure tasks such as installing and configuring wireless access points, setting up printers, and supporting internal events with technical equipment. Worked with Okta and Active Directory for identity and access management. Closely involved in onboarding new colleagues by preparing laptops and creating accounts. Designed and built custom applications using Google AppSheet with JavaScript-based automation, including a meeting room planner and asset ID management application.
